Experience Through Their Eyes

I've eaten here twice...it did not disappoint! The food was delicious. Pictured is grilled cod with twice baked potato, hush puppies and coleslaw. My daughter ordered shrimp fettuccine with broccoli. Everything was so fresh and clean!

Hit up Sam's Kitchen today because I'm trying this whole low calorie, not low flavor thing. Ordered a grilled chicken wrap with a side of broccoli -- simple enough, but you'd be surprised how many places screw that up. Good news -- Sam's didn't. Wrap came out fresh, chicken was cooked just right (translation: not the texture of a car tire), and the flavor held up without needing to drown it in sauce. Broccoli wasn't sad and soggy either, which is a minor miracle in the world of side veggies. Service? On par. They weren't stalking my table, but drinks got refilled and food showed up fast. Exactly what you want when you're just trying to eat and get on with life. Sam's is worth a stop. No complaints here.

I stopped in for lunch today (Wednesday) & can highly recommend this place. I got a cheeseburger & onion rings. The burger was juicy & delicious with fresh toppings & the onion rings were huge & fantastic. My server was a sweet girl who was attentive & made sure I had everything that I needed. Their menu has lots of options from steak to seafood, pasta & subs, pizza & wings, & salads with a kids menu & some vegetarian selections. If you're nearby, but don't have the time to dine in, they do offer call-in orders, as several people picked theirs up while I was there. I will definitely be stopping in again when I am in the area!! Delicious!!

We were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. Fair prices, good service, and good food made for a pleasant dinner on a cold night. We started with the appetizer sampler, and it was pretty usual for fried everything, but I will say it was good and hot and the marinara sauce actually tasted like a decent marinara (not the case everywhere around here). It was good. The ranch dressing wasn't exactly a ranch, almost closer to a dill based raita, but then, we're Midwesterners who are picky about ranch dressing. I had the ribeye salad, and it was quite good. The steak was seasoned perfectly and cooked exactly how I like it. They didn't skimp on the tomatoes or the cucumbers, either, and for a winter night, that was such a nice surprise. They put so much on the plate that I easily ate all I could and have another serving for tomorrow. My husband had the seafood combination pasta, and he loved it. He said the sauce had a bit of heat that worked really well with everything, and we were both surprised at just how much seafood they loaded his large plate with. Absolutely worth the price. We will be back. Everyone was so nice, and the service was top notch, even considering the weather and all.

Just came to take a further dive into Sharon's situation. I was dining in earlier this evening and observed what happened. Not only was the restaurant packed at the time, but there were only 2 servers there. I was sitting by the counter when I overheard one of the servers tell who I would assume to be her husband, that the salads had to be made and it would take only 5 minutes. I have no clue if he was in a rush but he turned around & exited the building. A few minutes later I'm at the counter ordering a side of fries, and hear the server on the phone with who I'd assume to be Sharon. Sharon proceeds to use vulgar & profane language towards the server although her husband was at fault for leaving the salads. Not to be biased in any way, but the server was completely right for her response, not only was Sharon rude over the phone but when she came back she made more rude comments. Moral is, If your husband forgets your salads; take that up with him instead of being rude to the servers because you could've ruined someone's day over a small miscommunication that could've been avoided if you were patient.

Saturday lunch was full of eager diners ti try out the new place. So attractive with cozy booths and freshly tiled bathrooms. I got the burger which had THE best potato fries, fat and crisp. Bee had a huge salad with lots of cheese and ranch.
